Dina Broyde has a Bachelor of Science degree in clothing design from Cornell University and a Masters degree in Art Education from New York University. She taught fashion design at Fashion Industries High School in New York City, and was an art teacher at LaGuardia High School of the Arts in New York City, formerly known as Music and Art and the Performing Arts High School on which the movie Fame was based. While at LaGuardia High School of the Arts Dina taught a wide variety of courses including oil painting, ceramics, two dimensional design, mixed media collage painting, and water color painting.
After retiring, she began taking beading classes at both the Craft Students' League in New York City and The Bead Society of Greater New York.
Dina has had her work featured in Bead and Button Magazine, has taught classes in bead weaving, has been in several shows in conjunction with the Bead Society of Greater New York, and displayed her work at the Broome Street Gallery as part of the Artist/Craftsmen of New York Group.
Her jewelry pieces are handmade and one of a kind. She designs and makes all her beaded pieces using a wide variety of beads to complete her vision of the final product.
Dina has been focused on the creation of new Collection Series that highlights her unique designs. All the pieces in each collection have the same styling but use different beads and color combinations.
